How to Fill Out and Submit Fillable Forms

The process for filling out the forms and submitting them can vary depending on how it opens after it downloads.

Filling out the form

The process of filling out the form is fairly simple regardless of your system or the application it opens with. 

  • Type the information in each field.
  • Some fields are configured as "required" fields, so it is recommended that you enter information in all the fields. 
  • The date fields may require that you use the dropdown calendar that is activated with the little down arrow icon.  If you don't see that icon, you can enter a date in the date field box (recommended format mm/dd/yyyy).

Submitting the form

The process to submit a form can vary depending on the device and the program application used to load the file.  The ultimate goal is to send a copy of the completed form to the property manager jessica@thehennessygrp.com (and perhaps copy board members if you wish).  The following are suggestions for the methods to submit a form depending on what type of device you have:

Windows PC (Recommended)

  • Click the form link to open it. If it automatically loads as a tab in your browser, you can fill it out and print it.  You wil be able to print the form, but you may not be able to save it or send it.  If this is the case, you can print the form and mail it to the Property manager.  You may also be able to use the "Print to Pdf" and print the form to a file which you can attach to an email to send to the Property Manager.
  • If you have the Adobe Acrobat program installed on your computer, the downloaded form file may open in Adobe Acrobat.  If this is the case, you can fill out the form and then click on the Share button.  Then select your email program and it will create an email with the filled out form file attached.  You then enter the Propery Manager's email address as the TO: address, type a message, and send it. Note that the Adobe Acrobat program is available in the Microsoft App Store if you wish to get it.  You do not have to upgrade the free version to fill out forms and share them.
  • Another option is to install the Adobe Acrobat extension to your browser.  You do this by clicking on the settings in your browser on the upper right corner and click on Extenstions.  You will see options to manage existing extensions and to install new extensions.  If you install the Adobe Acrobat extension, you will be able to share the downloaded form file and send it to the Property Manager.

Mac Computers

  • The full Adobe Acrobat application is not available in the Apple App Store.  We recommend that you install the Adobe Acrobat Extension in your browser.
  • The extension adds Acrobat tools directly inside your browser, including Print, Download, and Share (found under the three-dot menu).
  • When using Share → Gmail, Acrobat creates an email with a secure link to your completed form instead of an attachment.
  • Recipients can open that link and view the form with Acrobat tools in their own browser.
  • This method is reliable and avoids the need for the full Acrobat desktop app.

iPhone / iPad

  • The screen size on a phone is probably too small to attempt filling out a form and submitting it so it's not recommended.
  • The Adobe Acrobat app IS available in the app store when you are using an iPhone or iPad.  We have not tested it on an Android device.
  • Tap the form link to open it.
  • Tap the Share icon and choose Open in Acrobat.
  • Fill out the form in the Acrobat mobile app.
  • Use Share or Print to save or send your completed form.

If the Form Opens in Your Browser

  • You can fill out the fields directly.
  • Use your browser’s Print or Save options.
  • Some dropdowns may not work in all browsers.
  • For the most reliable experience, download the form and open it in Acrobat.
